Magic Growth Potion For Eye Lashes

So for the past week I have been using Lash Essence Gold, which is an eyelash serum. I have been noticing my lashes seem quite weak and thin at the mo. I havn't had eye lash extensions but I think being stressed and run down takes it toll on your body.

My friend recommended me this as she used it when she picked off all her eyelashes when removing her eyelash extensions! Once they grow back she still used it and said her lashes were so much thicker. She really raved about it so it was work a try!

It's described online as

"The miracle growth for lashes and brows! With its blend of natural herbs Lash Essence Gold is an essential aftercare that encourages increased blood circulation and provides essential nutrients to the hair follicles. Promotes rapid hair growth within the eyelashes and brows and conditions the natural lash while the extension is growing out."

I have used it am and pm after my cleansing routine, and I have noticed a small difference, well I think so... lol!

I will be keeping you posted with this and see if it has made any difference! Fingers crossed!

Have you used this product?
What else do you suggest that's good for lash growth?

This Sunday #007

After a busy week we were ready to chill! It was Father's Day and this Wednesday is my dad's birthday, he is the hardest person EVER to buy for! We popped into town and got his very practical presents!

I fancied doing some baking and I saw this recipe ages ago and decided to try it!

Mars Bar Slice! It's so quick and easy and I would defo recommend it,

75g of rice crispies
75g of butter
3 Mars Bars

  • Grease and line a median size tin. (I used a rectangle one)
  • Cut up Mars Bars into small slices and melt with the butter in a sauce pan over a low heat. Until it makes the yummiest chocolate mixture ever!
  • Take off the heat and mix in the rice crispies until they are all covered then push into the tin.
  • I then drizzled some melted plain chocolate over the top.
  • Put in the fridge for a couple of hours and your done.
  • Once set just cut it into squares and munch away!

Hope you all love this easy peasy recipe as much as I do!

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clearing Gel - Review

Well I'm a sucker for a magical cure for spots... isn't any twenty something with oily/combination skin? I bought this when I went to New York as my skin was being particularly annoying at the time! Why is it when you have a special occasion coming up or going away and you know you will be photographed a lot your skin decided 'Hey I know! Let's give her 10 million spots at one time?'... God help me at my wedding!!!

I have used the Anti-Blemish Solutions range (called Acne Solutions in the US) before but when I started working for Spa Find I swapped to them and I actually like them more, they feel much more gentle on my skin but still get the job done. But any way I digress! I love the packaging of Clinique it looks clinical and professional and as if it would get the job done.

I like to use this product after I have cleansed and toned. The first think I noticed about this product was the smell. It smells SO strong, kind of a methyl smell and it almost brings a tear to my eye!  I use a small per area so cheeks, chin, nose and forehead and I rub it in. As it is a gel you have to move fast, as it almost sets onto your skin as soon as you put it on there! It feels pretty tight on your skin so I like to apply my current moisturiser  or night cream as soon as I'm done rubbing it in, them my face feels soooo much better!

Despite the tight feeling and the strong smell I do really like this product. In the morning my skin feels less oily and my blemishes look reduced. I have been using it for a while and I do think you use quite per use, so maybe its good for when you have an extreme case. I think you can use it as a 'on the spot' treatment but my fave for this is Spa Find's Perfect Purity Spot Treatment you can see my review on that here. I like to use both on my skin at night for a double action approach and I really notice a difference to my skin!

New York- Day 6

Our last day :( We didn't have much planned or our last day apart from going over to Brooklyn and walk across the bridge, we was going to do it the day before but we ran out of time and were both shattered. After an early morning visit to the Mac counter in Macy's (after checking out of the hotel!) we were went straight to the subway and caught a train over to Brooklyn.

The weather was amazing such a change to the rainy day we had on the Wednesday! We wandered down to Brooklyn Park which is right on the edge of the river and wow what a fabulous view! There wasn't a cloud in the sky. We wandered along there for a while taking in the view of Downtown Manhattan.

I don't know if it was just me but the atmosphere felt a lot less rushed and a lot more calm, I don't know if it was the fact it was a Saturday or the fact we were in Brooklyn.

As we started to walk across the bridge it felt even hotter but with the lovely cool breeze being by the water it was nice, little did we know we were actually getting sunburnt, Russ's forehead especially! We had mentioned about hiring bikes to ride across the bridge but we decided not too, which I was so glad as the bridge was pretty busy with people, Tourists like us taking photos every few steps,  Locals with a day off having a wander in the sun or fitness freaks cycling or jogging across the bridge. I think if I was on a bike I would have had a panic attack and fallen off, I've not ridden a bike in YEARS!

The view was amazing!

There were lots of love locks on the bridge, we always seem to forget the bring a lock with us! We did the same in Paris! Silly us! Instead we joined the thousands of people writing a message on the bridge at the centre point.

At the half way point something amazing also happened...

I was standing there taking in the amazing view...
Russ was snapping away and then started fiddling in his pocket.
'Shall we go now' I said wanting to wander the rest of the way across the bridge
'5 more mins' Russ said
So I carried on standing there taking in the view as it was our last day in the city
' We have make lots of memories here haven't we Hannah?' said Russ
'Lets make some more...Hannah Will You Marry Me?'
'AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSS' I said...

I'm not sure what I said, but yes I said YES! To be fair when I think about it now or tell someone the story I still get butterflies eeeekkkkk we are gonna get married!

For the rest of the day it felts like a dream! We had a very yummy lunch with some celebratory champagne in a lovely place right by our hotel then got all set for our trip back home.

For the next few weeks since we got home it still feels like a dream, in fact the whole holiday feels like a dream, it was an amazing trip and something we had been looking forward to and planning for ages and getting engaged was the cherry on top of it!

The focus now is to concentrate on buying our first house together and being engaged has made us want it even more. Also we will start planning and looking a venues this summer, we are thinking of setting a date for the big day in 2016.

So right now I'm looking at wedding magazines and estate agent's websites feeing like a grown up but still seeing myself as an teenage girl! It's so strange! So you guys feel like an 18 year old still even if you are a lot older? So what I'm trying to say is if I am not blogging as regularly as before please forgive me, I love my little blog and it really has changed my life for the better. That sounds a bit lame but it has given me something to focus on rather than getting hung up and worried about stuff. I'm still gonna blog at least once or twice a week but it might not be as regular as before and it might have a slice of wedding-ness and house-y stuff thrown in!

New York Day 5

I was so excited for this day!!! We had booked to go in a HELICOPTER over the city!!!

I had been umming and awwing about whether to do this or not and it was one of my lovely lovely clients that finally pushed me to go for it! All I can say it was defo worth the money the view and experience was incredible!

The heli-pad was based down the south of the island close to 9/11 and Wall Street. I had butterflies at this point and felt so excited and a little scared. You have to get there pretty early and we sat and watch the helicopters landing and taking off! They were like bumbles flying through the sky! After waiting and going through security checks we finally ready to fly!!

Going out onto the heli-pad was so exciting and boy it was so loud!! There were so many land and taking off it was an amazing operation! Thinking about it now it feels like a dream, we were ushered on board, strapped in and given head phones. There was 6 people on our flight. They were playing a U2 song as we took off I cant remember which one but it was so emotional, I bet they play that on purpose to set the mood! We first fly round the statue of Liberty  then headed north up the river. The view was truly amazing and this massive tall city looked tiny! We slowed down and circled around the Yankee's stadium and then over some bridges, looking down at the cards they looked like toys!

We flew for about 20 mins and it was well and truly one of the best experiences ever. The landing was smooth too unlike one we watch before we took off where it basically bumped down a few times!

After the flight we went to Century 21 a great discount shop similar to TK Max and then to Ground Zero. Which is a very though provoking place.

For lunch we went to Little Italy. We visited the first pizzeria in America and there pizza was the best! After a wander around we made it back to the hotel, so much excited that day I was dead on my feet!

Next stop day 6 our last day and the most life changing and exciting day yet!!

Empties #001

Kelly at Along Came Kelly got me hooked on these posts so I thought why not do one myself. I like the way you do a little review on each product but not a great big massive one!

Just a note there are a lot of my beloved Spa Find Products here!

1.) Dead Sea Spa Magik Hair Magik Serum
I love love love this multi functional product. Is it a conditioner? a hair mask? or a styling product? In fact its all of the above... and more! I use this mostly as a styling product. I have naturally wavy/frizzy hair and when I want it curly and to stay curly this is my go to product. Before roughly drying my hair with a hair dryer I put some hair oil and some hair serum though the length of it, Then I clip it up until its more or less dried. It leaves my hair soft and shine and the waves stay all day! It's not sticky or crunchy either (like a mousse, yuk!) it's fab!

2.) Benefit- It's Potent eye cream
You can see my full review here. I'm so in love with this brightening eye cream. Its so rich and creamy and really sorted out my dark circles. A little bit goes along way! I have recommended it to my blogger best friend Hannah at A Hot Mess and she also loves it!

3.) Sanex Sensitive deodorant-
I always change my deodorant, I'm not fussy as along as it doesn't smell awful and isn't too harsh. This one was great as my under arms can be a little sensitive.

4.) Spa Find Balanced Beauty Stabilizing Moisturiser
This is one of my fave moisturisers. I love it all year round and especially in the summer as it has an spf of 23 in it which is pretty high for a face cream. On that note is does NOT feel greasy at all, perfect for holidays.

5.) Spa Find Sculpted Silhouette Gel Exfoliant
This is part of Spa Finds AMAZING Sculpted Silhouette range, more posts on this to come! But for the mean time this is the exfoliant from the range. It's quick and easy to use in the shower and the tiny grains polish your skin perfectly. I find it best to mix it with a little bit of water before you apply it as it moves a bit better over your skin.

Well that was Empties list number one I'm sure I have many more to come with my obsession with products growing by the minute!

Do you enjoy these kind of posts?
See Ya

This Sunday... #006

A sunny day called for a trip to the beach! I love living in Kent, from where I live it's only about 30-40 mins to the seaside.

We made our way to a peddle beach called Little Stone. It was a little foggy but we still had a lovely walk along the beach picking up pretty and nice looking pebbles as we went for a little craft project I'm planning.

We next drove along the coast to Dymchurch, I always remember coming here as a kid! It's described on the sign as a 'Childen's Paradise' and when I was little I thought it was so cool! With all the rides and stuff. Today they all look a bit smaller than I remembered so although wanting too go and play we stuck to the slot machines! By this time the sun was well and truly out! YAY!

We grabbed some scampi and chips and sat down on the sea wall and ate them in the sunshine! The tide was coming in but there was still that lovely seaside buzz about the place.

After another walk (we really need to get a little pooch to accompany us on all our walks) we headed back but not before grabbing a Mr Whippy!

I love going to the beach in all weather rain or shine! It's just so nice to get out and about an blow the cobwebs and stress away.

How have you spend your Sunday!?

New York Day- 4

We had a jam packed day today as we didn't do as much as we hoped due to the rain the day before.

It was pretty foggy when we woke up so was went for a bit of shopping first thing. Our hotel was so close to Macy's and there was lots of other shops to pick up some goodies in on our doorstep! When we were shopping Russ told me to look up and I saw that the fog had cleared YAY!

So after a quick shopping bags drop off at the hotel and a re fuel at Mcdonalds for lunch (had to be done!). We started off by getting some tickets for later in the afternoon for the Rockefeller Center. To fill the time in between we had a lovely wander round Central Park. We saw the Fountain from friends, the stawberry fields, the boat house and the boulders. It was so sunny and warm! It's amazing how chilled the park is even though it's in the heart of a mega busy city, it's a must if you ever go.

We really enjoyed the Top of the Rock, it was so organised and well done. The view was incredible, it's a refreshing change to the hussell and bussell of the streets. I could have spent hours up there just looking out!

After a super yummy dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, which is a great reasonably prices chain resturant for dinner! We went up the Empire State Building. Comparing it to the Top of the Rock it wasn't as good and a little dissapointing. I think it's alot to do with the organisation it seemed a bit of a free for all and was jammed packed, even though we visited pretty late at night!

You cannot fault the view it's breath taking and I love it even more at night, it's just those twinkerling lights! Aww....Dreamy! It just seemed to me a little spoilt and there was no control in the amont of people they let up at one time.

So today was a day of amazing views and we saw some more on day 5...
