New York Day 5

I was so excited for this day!!! We had booked to go in a HELICOPTER over the city!!!

I had been umming and awwing about whether to do this or not and it was one of my lovely lovely clients that finally pushed me to go for it! All I can say it was defo worth the money the view and experience was incredible!

The heli-pad was based down the south of the island close to 9/11 and Wall Street. I had butterflies at this point and felt so excited and a little scared. You have to get there pretty early and we sat and watch the helicopters landing and taking off! They were like bumbles flying through the sky! After waiting and going through security checks we finally ready to fly!!

Going out onto the heli-pad was so exciting and boy it was so loud!! There were so many land and taking off it was an amazing operation! Thinking about it now it feels like a dream, we were ushered on board, strapped in and given head phones. There was 6 people on our flight. They were playing a U2 song as we took off I cant remember which one but it was so emotional, I bet they play that on purpose to set the mood! We first fly round the statue of Liberty  then headed north up the river. The view was truly amazing and this massive tall city looked tiny! We slowed down and circled around the Yankee's stadium and then over some bridges, looking down at the cards they looked like toys!

We flew for about 20 mins and it was well and truly one of the best experiences ever. The landing was smooth too unlike one we watch before we took off where it basically bumped down a few times!

After the flight we went to Century 21 a great discount shop similar to TK Max and then to Ground Zero. Which is a very though provoking place.

For lunch we went to Little Italy. We visited the first pizzeria in America and there pizza was the best! After a wander around we made it back to the hotel, so much excited that day I was dead on my feet!

Next stop day 6 our last day and the most life changing and exciting day yet!!
